Predictions from Matt Salzberg

Matt Salzberg is another big swim geek. He actually came up with the exact same prediction contest as mine, which we eventually merged. He is the creator of the scoring system we will use to determine the winners (9-5-2, 9-5-4-3-2-1 for relay events, if you pick the correct place, then 1 if you pick a swimmer but incorrect place). Mike's more fascinating picks include Dagny Knutson winning the 200 free, Lara Jackson winning the 50 free, and Kim Vandenberg winning the 200 fly. He also sees Nick Thoman finishing second to Aaron Peirsol in the 200 back, ahead of Ryan Lochte, and he predicts Emily Brunemann to finish third in the 800 free and Elizabeth Smith third in the 200 breast.
